Hydraulic Jack Suggestions?
I am going to ask 'santa' for a new jack for xmas this year, I have a cheapo wal-mart version but would like to get something more reliable, the cheapo is ok to change some tires but I would not want to get under the box using it.
I was thinking craftsman might be a good way to go but figured I would ask around first. I am dropped on df210s so I need a low profile one.

I love my floor jack. I know just how far to roll it under without looking where the frame rails are. I also want to pick up one of those lightweight aluminum ones from Summit Racing for Christmas.

The one I have now is kind of 'JC Whitneyish' so I figured might as well ask for a decent one for xmas because I am running out of things to ask for.

Jacks are ONLY used to lift the car, NOT to support it.
Jack it up and throw a stand under there ASAP!!!
Yeah.. a cheapo jack is the best route. Because its only made to put the car up enough to get some stands on...
Buy some nice jack stands that are not hydraulic... Metal ones with notches.. I've put my car up on 4 stands. Great for oil changes....
Get something else with the money you'll spend on a jack..

Try to get one with the longest lifting arm you can find. Also use a small piece of 2X4 in the cup so it doesn't scrape off the coating on the frame rails. Also get some of the styrofoam pipe insulation for the handle. It will help protect your paint if the handle hits it by accident.
I can line mine up without looking under the box now.
