Angry IDK what to even title this one, PLEASE HELP!

Okay so i bought a 2006 Scion tC a month or so ago, it was from a private owner who had worked in a dealership so it went thru the whole dealership process as well. Now the car had been in an accident prior to purchase (Front, Right) yet he had fixed it 100% (so he says). Unfortunatly i had gotten into an accident recently (15-25mph into a tree). Minimal body damage and radiator is damaged. I had hit the tree in the same spot where the prior owner had recked/fixed it. Shouldnt the air bags have been deployed at this point??? Well they hadnt. so im assuming when he had fixed the damage he either didnt replace the airbags or didnt completly fix the senors or something.

My question is is there any way to 'test' the airbags in any way?

And if he didnt 100% fix the car as he had stated in the paper work isnt he liable for fixing this? (including my front end since what he did is very illegal)

If the air bags went off then the car should have a car fax report on the past accident. I would suggest getting one.

Does your air bag light come on with all the other lights when you turn the key on?

I know this, but since i got the car with the understanding that it was 100% (in wrighting) and no where or at no time did he mention that if i got into an accident id propel thru my windshield isnt this technically illegal. Giving me the opportunity to say "hey fix your mistake... and mine (minor) or ill have my attourney give you a ring" (and no im not just talking out of my a$$)

okay, dude, first thing i would like to say to you is shut the hell up. air bags do not go off for every single fender bender that the car experiences. i've had my front end side swiped, and my driverside of the car hit, and no air bags.

air bags deploy for serious collisions, usually over 35 mph. 15-25 probably wouldn't have triggered it. if the only part of the car that was damaged was the radiator and some body panals, the impact was not severe enough to make it necessary fort he air bags to intervene.

now, if the air bags were not there, then the air bag warning lights would be flashing at you, and depending on what state you live in, it would not pass inspection.

now, the previous owner was honest, he told you the car was in an accident, what was damaged, and what fixed. if the air bags had been deployed by that accident, then the car would have most likely been declared a total loss, and he wouldn't even be selling the car because it would have been scraped. now, you have wrecked your car, and i'm guessing it was your fault. man up and accept that you screwed up and pay your insurance deductible. stop trying to find fault with somebody else.

sorry you wrecked your car after only 1 month of ownership, but something tells me being 18 with a "new" car, poor judgement and inexperience was a factor. and the fact that you're trying to sue the previous owner just speaks value to your character as the worst kind of scumbag out there since people like you flood courtrooms with stupid nuisance lawsuits that have absolutely no merit. now have a merry christmas and a happy new year.

air bags don't prevent you from going through the windshield, that is what SEAT BELTS prevent you from doing.

heated are we??? 1st off it wasnt my fault. 2nd off ive been driving for years and 3rd im not planning on sueing. im planing on fixing it myself. i was simply trying to figure out why my airbags had not been deployed the support beam that the radiator is connected too is bent at about an 130 degree angle ive personally witnessed airbags going off at half of that....
take a deep breath and count to three...

4, i know what your saying and im not disagreeing man. what retard would 'blame' a previous owner for hitting a tree lol. nah what had happened is (long story short) person in front of me had slammed on his brakes meanwhile there was a waterbottle in my lap and the waterbottle seemed to find its way under my brake pedal so i had the choice of either hitting an escalade a mercedes or a tree. i didnt even think of using my E brake to be honest it happened so fast and im used to driving older trucks with the E brake down by ur feet...
