Take the giant beach-ball off your lap while driving and you should be fine.

no didn't change the steering wheel. In fact, the car only has about 85 miles on it!

The MAINT REQ light just reminds you that you are due for service. It is set to go off every 5000 miles to annoy you enough so you change your oil.

If you want to reset it (supposing you've had your services done) this is what you do.

With the key in the ignition and the car off press and hold down the Odometer stalk button (car has to be showing the mileage, not the trip a or b mode) than turn the key to the on position while still holding down that button. If you look at the mileage thing it will show dashes like ------- and they will slowly go away and when they are all gone it will show the mileage again the the maint light will go off.

Maint light doesn't mean something is broken, that is what the check engine light is for, it just reminds you to get service.

I know you're trying to help...but this thread has nothing to do with the maintenance required light.

Nevermind, I thought you had made a typo of Maint and wrote Man.
