Maintenance Light & Oil Change

When I start my car I see the maintenance light flash for about 5 to 10 seconds after the car has started. Could this be related to my upcoming oil change? (I'm at 9,300 and my oil change isn't until 10,500). By the way, I plan on changing the oil myself, what's the secret combination to reset the oil timer?

odometer reads odo... hold reset button while turning on car.

Damn i forget the exact combonation i believe you put the key to ignition without turning it hold, hold the ODO button for 30secs til flashhes like 000000 and then turn off turn car on....

Not Sure if thats exactly right thats off the top off my head
