Maintence Quotes HELP PLZ
Hi I know this is a scion forum, but the toyota forum is almost non-existence. My mother have a 2002 Toyota Corolla and is having some trouble. We went to a mechanic I ask what was wrong, and he said it is the shock or springs is messed up a little, the alignment, and we will have to change the tires.
Im just wondering what are the quotes for changing the shock, fix the alignment, and change the tires.
This what the mechanic's quotes are:
shock ($80)
alignment ($40)
tire change ($60 per tire)
...and some other bs totaling ($400)
is this right? are we getting ripped off?

One shock-four shocks? New tires? The allignment is cheap enough--is it for the front or all four wheels? When you change the shocks/springs you have to do an allignment. It does not sound like a rip off to me..
