Hey, there's been lots thrown around about all the different waxes, etc., but I'm looking for a direct comparison between Meguiars Gold Class Liquid vs. NXT Tech Wax.

Their Gold Class line isn't featured as prominently on their Web site, so I was thinking maybe that was gonna be phased out...but then in their collections, I realized that the Gold Class is Carnauba based where the NXT is polymer-based.

Is that the big difference, then, not so much that the NXT line is the all-new, all-better choice?

Has anyone tried both and and can provide a solid preference/recommendation for one or the other? With maybe some reasons?

i've tried both, and have been using the gold class ever since I got the box. the NXT wipes off a little easier, and smells better. but if you want a really deep gloss shine, go with the gold class. I use the gold class always. heres a tip too - after you wax with the gold class and wipe off all the wax, wipe down the whole car with the mcguiers detailer mist with a microfiber towel, and it will even out any dark spots and really make it shine

I like the Gold Class, here is why..... both work well..however I can get the liquid and quick detailer from Costco for $9.99 so I use the Gold Class....Also the NXT is synthetic and if I am gonna use that Nufinish really gives bang for the buck

I have used both the mguiars gold class and the new nxt tech wax...I have an Azure Pearl tc and I get a much better gloss with the tech wax...The tech wax is more expensive, but I think its worth it...I just think from what I have seen that the gold class works better on darker colors

Damnit I just bought the NXT for my BSP tc yesterday.

Guess I'll bring it back to Wal-Mart and get the Gold Class. Take one vote off NXT in the poll
