Default Mr. Clean Auto Dry is great but..

I used Mr. Clean's Auto Dry Wash for the first time and love how shiny my car is even after our rain yesterday. The process is so easy. I love it. No drying necessary and no spots.

However, the connectors to the hose and spray gun leak! I came away soaked. I tried to put washers I already had around the house in them, but they didn't fit. Has anyone found washers that work, and still let the soap and filtered water flow? How do you get the connectors to not leak?

i have got the same thing, more than likely it's u'r hose. what you need to do is get some plumbers tape. It's this white silcone tape that you wrap around the threads where you connect the hose. did that this morning, worked great, only a little dribble, next time i'll just wrap it up even more!

Question: are you using the pro series? If so, are you using the quick release that came with it? If the answer to both of those is yes, I recommend taking off the quick release and just screwing the Mr. Clean on like normal. I had the same problem. The quick release is junk.

I have an original model and have been using it for over a year. I boought my own quick release at the home store. It is brass. The "male" end threads into the Mr Clean and the "female" end threads onto your hose. No leaks.

I love the Mr Clean system. Got the Pro one and no leaks. I'll never go back to the old bucket method again.

I'm glad I don't have to mess with all that working at the dealership and all JK Mr. Clean works pretty well

I'll try this. Thanks. I'll also check into a brass fitting. AND the tape. Thanks everyone.

BTW, I can't believe how shiny my car still is!

Sadly, though, the paint is fragile. Not the same incredible paint as my other Camrys.
