ok i changed my roommates spark plugs while she is away for the holidays.

the car: 93 honda accord automatic, she just bought it used from a dealership nearby

- all 4 plugs I pulled out had oil on them

- the oil was not burnt, just plain old oil

Now ive been trying to do some reading to figure out if its ultra bad or just a simple spark plug valve thing (not that that is simple either)

any advice? is this something that if fixed ASAP wouldnt be so bad or is this a case of "take it back to where you got it"

she got it from one of those dealers you always see on the corner selling old beat up cars, FL has a good Lemon Law as far as I know...but would that apply for used cars if they are sold "as is"?

or either that, the piston rings are/went bad...

 

i hope its just valve cover gasket ..that something that after doing some reading I think i could actually do myself....but if its worse then that...i couldnt do it lol

 

yea its the spark plug valve seals. i used to have a 93 accord myself and i had the same problem. there is a diy on replacing them at www.cb7tuner.com look in the diy section i think it is a sticky there.

 

yeah my gut feeling is that its just the spark plug gasket or worst valve cover gasket...either one is easy

im going to swap it out tomorrow, and THANK YOU all for your input and the links!!
