So I'm looking for a good OBDII reader but have no idea what i'm looking for. any suggestions?

I like the $170 ScanGuage II. It reads the ODDII port to display 12 guages (4 at a time), computes time and distance and mpg, and also reads and clears trouble codes.

I do love mine.

It's not a programmer or anything, but it reads and clears codes. Not to mention its main purpose for me, which is a selection of a bajillion gauges to choose from.

I run the interface with www.obddiagnostics.com software and such...

It's a decently priced and cool setup for troubleshooting and seeing engine dynamics.
