Dealership!
Went in and told them what happened (situation: "a" parts person gave me the YZZF2 filter stating it is what's used on the tC), so they gave me two YZZF1 filters (free of charge) to compensate 1: for the filter/worker suggested error & 2: for the lost oil/extra oil needed when I change filters. I applaud the dealership for being honorable.
Now to change the filter without loosing a ton of oil ...
