Default please help, question about warranty info under toyota

I bought my xb in another city about an hour away.....theres a toyota dealer in town here but they don't sell or is in any way affiliated with scion....the wires on my headlight of my xb went out , i called my intown toyota dealer and ask them about fixing it...they said i would have to bring it back to where i bought it from....is this true? or are these bastards lazy?

Chances are, if they don't sell Scions - they don't service them. Yes, they're all the same family but they probably just don't do it.

However... I don't think you should have to take it to the same place (you SHOULD if you can) but... I think as long as a dealer is a Scion dealer - they should be able to service it.

Which warranty did you get? The extended warranty states that you don't have to take the car to a SCION dealer for warranty repair. I would call SCION directly and ask them which location in your area is available.

if they dont sell Scions, i rec. to NOT go to that dealer
chances are, like they said on the phone, they wont work on them
go to a Toyota/Scion dealer only, dont take a chance or cut corners
yes, extended warranty says you can go to ANY dealer. but dont go to one that does nto work or sells Scions. They are still Toyota,yes, but they actually aren't supposed to work on them unless they are certified (pass UOT testing), according to Scion
