Post Seafoam Question
Hey guys I have a few questions about this Seafoam thing. So today I seafoamed my tC. I pour 1/3 in the tank, oil crankcase, and here comes the tricky part the intake (I think...) I wasn't 100% sure which vacuum line I was supposed to put the seafoam in. So What I did was I took the vacuum line that was attached to the nipple of my AEM CAI. I checked to see if this line was sucking air in and it was. So I poured the remaining seafoam into this line. I did it super slow and it took about 20+ minutes. I let the car sit for about 13-14 minutes and started it back up. I got next to no smoke coming out of the exaust. I mean I got a little bit but it was nowhere near the big smoke show that Im sure some of you guys have seen. I thought this was a little odd...Now there was smoke but it only came out when I really revved the car (about 5-6k rpm). My car is a 2006 tC, and it's used for my courier job which puts 280 miles/day on the car. The car is on pace to have been driven 100,000 miles since the day I bought it. It has 114,000+ miles on it now. I am just wondering, is the reason why I didn't get that much smoke because of how the car is driven, so there wasn't really any carbon build up in it to begin with, or did I do something terribly wrong?? The car runs fine, no CEL, and it seems to run, shift, and accelerate much more smoothly. Just want to know if anyone else has gotten the same results when doing this.

so u poured into the intake?
not a good thing to do..
you didnt see any seafoam pouring out from the bottom? i did the same thing and the whole seafoam came out on the air filter so i had to clean and reoil my filter and i did the seafoam again thru the brake booster.
20 minutes? u wanted to say seconds, right? btw when i did it i did so slow that the actually the engine revved up by itself so i had to rush with the pouring.

Hey no I didnt see anything pouring out from the bottom. Nothing bad happened is all I can say...I read that you had a failed first try with the seafoam in another thread on here. But nothing bad happened to me. Nothing got on the air filter and everything was fine. And no I meant 20+ minutes. It took a while...I'm just concerned because I got next to no smoke coming out of the exuast. The only thing I saw come out the exhaust was a small amount of smoke but only when I really revved the car, and what looked like exhaust vapors on the ground. I put my finger in it and smelled it and it had no smell. So it wasn't fuel. I guess I just took really good care of my car and there wasn't much carbon build up in it

rubber garage door seal...?? lol Just the sound of that sounds ridiculous but it looks really good. And yea it took quite a while. I got a 280 mile trip later on today so Ill see how everything goes, but yea I drove the car around multiple times today and everything was fine.

Sounds like you did everything right.
The line you (hopefully) used is towards the back of the valve cover, between the exhaust manifold (IIRC).
Hopefully you changed your oil as soon as you were done....
Maybe it was clean, hence the lack of smoke. Do you use top tier gas? Whats your OCI? What type of oil?
