a few weeks ago I was driving my Xb when it started sputtering. You know you step on the
gas and it feels like its gunna stall. It only happend twice but ever since then I feel like 1st, 2nd and 3rd have less power than before. Took it to the dealership..road test with techie=yes there is a powerloss...ill check it out. Toyota Service Advisor calls me and says nothings wrong with your car...use better gas. So for 2 months I use 97...no change.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAhhhhhh. I want all 108 of my ponies...not just 98 of them.

 

change wheels? no cel's or anything like that?
dirty air filter? fouled plug? try disconnecting your battery to reset your ecu.

 

no light, stock and clean air filter...that was my next step...
fouled plugs. But I work at a Dealership and I am very lazy with my own car....

i've done the k&n drop in filter and dc header and trd muffler and i have to hold on to my hat to keep it there when i step on it, its some what hella fast for xA and being N/A oh yeah!!!

 

sounds like the fuel is being starved.. has anyone cared to check your fuel filter? sounds like you may have gotten a bad tank of gas and it's clogging the filter and hence you're not having any power..

 

maybe there is a cat in your exhaust... (literally)

 

I second the fuel filter. This is exactally what happened with my last car. Bad gas, and a clogged fuel filter. (That's what I get for going to the Hess station.)

 

fuel filter is a definite possibility, check your spark plugs too.

 

Sounds like fuel filter to me too.
