Default The Proper Aplication of Wax

What do you use to apply your wax?

I know about the different wax pads and the different construction materials but I am thinking a (possibly) strange thought....would there be an problems applying the wax with your hand?

I was thinking of using a latex glove and use just that to apply my first coat of wax. My thinking initially indicates that there would be a minimal chance of scratching and you could really "feel" just how much pressure you are applying to the car.

I know the paint/clear coat are IMO the biggest problem with these cars.

Your thoughts?

I'd think that waxing this way would leave either too much wax or not enough. I don't see any benefit, but I doubt it would do any damage.

I use a 6" finishing pad on my porter cable 7336 to apply sealants/waxes
