Default RE-painting Calipers...

Anyone RE-paint their calipers (e.g. different color, repaint)?

I want to re-paint my calipers and put a clearcoat on this time. The dirt sticks to them like they are covered in glue.

Any tips/pointers for this? Can I still use my Duplicolor kit that's left over? Will the cleaning solvent "MELT" my current paint off? Can any ole' clearcoat be used?

I appreciate any responses.

I am planning on painting my calipers once I am sure the snow is done and the salt gets washed off the roads. I want to put a clear coat on mine as well once I do it. I have been wondering if there is a heat-resistant clear coat as well.

I have repainted mine using the same DupliColor kit. No issues.

^^^^^^^^Thanks!

Anyone know about the clearcoat? Special type required for heat-sensitive components?
