Default Recommendation on car wax.

I just bought a new white tC last weekend. Is there car wax or polish perfect for Scion paint?

meguairs gold class clear coat safe wax, the liquid stuff works like a charm and actually last at least a month, brings and leaves a nice shine smoothes out the paint.

Personally, I think the best off the shelf wax right now is Meguiars NXT wax. It's sythetic and lasts much longer than their Gold Class line. If you're willing to buy off the internet I'd look at getting Klasse or Wolfgang.

This is Meguiars NXT wax.

i hear so many people talk so highly about that $50 jar of Zymol car wax. I've never used it, but for $50 it better work good.

is it okay to wax a new car so soon? whenever i've gotten paint jobs on my previous cars, i was told by the bodyshops not to wax it for 6 months.

I've used NXT and Rain X, and I've found Rain X to last longer, look better, and is cheaper.

Zymol is a really expensive wax. But it is all natural and has an extremely high caranuba content. My dad has been using it for years and I truly believe that its a big reason why his cars look great. Personally, Zymol is my favorite by far. However, Meguiars may be a little better bang for the buck.

Are you guys referring to Zymol - light blue opaque liquid available off the shelf, or Zaino Brothers, which is usually considered the best wax on the market, but is only available from their catalog/website? I've used Zymol before, didn't really find it to be better/worse than the other 3 million waxes on the shelf.

The system that I've used for the last few years is a variation on the Meguiar's Deep Crystal 3 Step system:

Step 1: Meguiar's Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner (can be omitted if vehicle is relatively new or has been recently waxed)
Step 2: Meguiar's #7 Show Car Glaze (in place of the Deep Crystal Polish)
Step 3: Meguiar's Gold Class Liquid Wax (can use paste, I just prefer liquid).

Doing all 3 steps is a buttload of work, but well worth it. Even after hard winters on other vehicles I've driven, water still beads off. I havn't had a chance to try the NXT wax yet, might give it a shot after my Gold Class bottle runs out.

Since I'm singing Meguiar's praises, try the Gold Class Tire Shine as well. Lasts twice as long as the foaming spray cans.

You are using the wrong zymol brother. The stuff on the counter at auto stores doesn't hold a candle to the real stuff. The paste that comes in glass jar and is reccomended by Porsche and BMW is the stuff that I'm talkin about.

OMG I think I thew up a little.

It looks like new because it's full of silicon and other stuff you absolutly shouldn't
be putting on your paint!

A real protectant doesn't contaminate the paint and keep you from putting anything
over it. I'd love to see what a body shop has to do if they ever need to touch up
your paint after using NuFinish!

There are no shortcuts to a good clean well protected finish.

So Raven, are you going to give us the extra $40.00 for some Zymol?

Of the NXT wax, do you guys prefer the spray-on or paste? I bought the spray-on.

I personally prefer the paste as it is such a pleasure to apply and wipe off (compare to the crappy eagle liquid wax). I clayed, polished and waxed with NXT, the shine is incredible. Although I am sadden by how orange peel the paint is.
