Recommendations for oil ???
I am taking my tC to get an oil change but I dont trust the toyota/ford dealership here to do it. So im going to take it to another shop, what kind is best to put into our cars?

what year do you own? For 07, Toyota recommends 0W20 or 5W20. There really is no best motor oil. SOme will swear by synthetic motor oil. In that case Royal Purple or Mobil 1 more than gets the job done.

Yes, the manual and the cap show 5w30 - they shipped before the change was made.

little pet peeve of mine when someone asks a question that you can find in the manual.. though the tsb itself is seperate indeed.
other things like.. resetting windows, maint. light.. gosh... if people opened up a book once in awhile..
but to answer the question above.. newer design changes in the 2AZ-FE allow the change in the oil grade.. is it necessary? not really... but it can take it and allow better fuel efficiency and all that jazz... significant? not much...
but yeah....
