Default Royal Purple busted for false advertising

Heres the link:

Not trying to start a huge war here, but the UOAs of RP in Gen 1 xB motors shows it to be more hype than hope. There are better options for half the price.

Cheers.

I don't buy oils that only carry API specification (I look for ACEA A5 specification as well), much less an oil that has no specifications at all.

I have used this product twice now. And just saw this report.

My question is, If I switch to something like Amsoil or something like that. Do I have to use a engine flush first to get out al of the RP or can I simply drain and fill on the next motor oil change?

i think you'd be alright just to drain old oil and refill with your new choice, i dont see any reason to flush yoru motor. ive never really liked the idea of flushing systems be it motor or transmission. I think they are kinda like old vehicles you wash the rust away and it all falls apart. As far as other oils that could be good for you i would recomend mobile 1 or castrol syntech. Ive used both and ive been nothing but satisified with both

The motor flush comes from my old days of older cars! LOL So there is no difference between using Moble1 or castrol? Just two different names correct? And either one is good?

Thanks again.

In my opnion theres no difference, i havent noticed anythin gdifferent with the car running either one. both are synthetic. some may say one is better than the other, but comming from someone who's not bias to either, both will do the same and do it good
