Default Is SmartWax safe to use on vinyl decals?

I recently got a free bottle of SmartWax at the last car show I went to. My only question is I'm wondering if it's safe to use on vinyl decals? I have a rather large full color vinyl decal on the hood of my tC and I'd love to get the UV protection that SmartWax claims it offers on that decal as well as my other vinyls. I've tried looking through the FAQ on the SmartWax website and have yet to see anything about vinyl decals. Would anyone here be able to help me out?
