installed my trd muffler and now i have a nasty smelling smell...

it kind of smells like metal burning ( you know the kind that when your cutting metal with power tool and you tweek just right so it doesn't cut effient enough and you get that awful smell yeah some thing like that) and i can really smell it when i get to the place where i'm going and get out of my car, so i sniffed my muffler (yeah i can sniffed my own ___ )

so how do i get rid of this nice awful smell, or does this muffler need to be like broken in some???

completely noraml especially on a new exhaust. Just be glad it doesn't smell like fart/eggs like my previous car. :D

 

It's normal. I had that same smell when I had my tanabe exhaust installed. It went away after like 2-3 days.

 

i still have that exhaust stench... i installed my trd exhaust 2 weeks ago and it still smells... but the smell is fading ... wasnt as strong as the first day i installed it tho.

 

I had the same problem also with my TRD muffler. I will go away in a couple weeks
