Default Supra TT or Ls400 brake upgrade

the Supra and Ls400 brake specs are very similar but the pricing on them are a bit different being the Ls400 being cheaper. This would be a very cheap upgrade with a substantial gain over our stock tC brakes. But the problem would be if they fit? Does anyone know and if it does what goes into a brake assembly swap?

Dude just get the big brake kit from the Celica GT-S, it is exactly the same.

the ls400 brakes are a lot cheaper thats why i asked. A guy on supraforums upgraded his front NA brakes for $300 but it was a basic swap which i doubt will be the same for the tC (http://supraforums.com/forum/showthr...t=ls400+brakes). To my knowledge big brake kits are over a grand and this is just a cheap upgrade

wouldn't the master cylinder and booster need to be upgraded if going w/such a big upgrade? the supra has some of the best stock brakes ever made, I think the 60-0 was recently beaten by a porsche..10yrs later. another issue is fitment, the rotors are huuuuuuge, even stock, so the calipers are gonna be that much larger.. just a thought..kinda

I have the Supra TT brakes on my IS300. The stopping power is so much greater and stance behind the rims makes it even meaner.

I would go with the Supra Brakes, but if not look into Stoptech or Brembo.

Default Looking into these

I'm going to buy a set of LS400 brake calipers and see if I can get them to fit I know you will have to modify or make a bracket to fit on the lower portion because they do not have the same bolt up pattern. But the TRD big brake kit for the tC has separate mounting brackets as well

Let me know how this works out. I am extremely pleased with my Powerstop pads and R1 D/S rotors, but I would love a better looking caliper behind the wheel.

I know they fit the Mk3 Supra (as im saving for one for a project) and are a huge upgrade over stock for them but unsure if the tC2 has the same bolt size/spacing.
