synthetic gear oil

has anyone changed the gear oil in a 5 speed manual xA to synthetic - like Mobil 1 or Amsoil. And what are your results and impressions. TIA Mark S.

royal purple makes a synth oil for manual trans, too. i'd like to know this answer, too.
