I'm at 20K so I'm not sure what the deal is cuz I drive roughly 350 miles a week 120 highway and my brakes are fine as far as I know. During spirited driving they do fade after awhile but no noise, and they still stop me fine with no vibration. I think im pretty hard on mine to, I don't downshift as much as others.

those are my pads after... 40k miles. the noise indicator was on at 35k and my brake line turned on at around 20k miles.

it started off lighting off at 1st gear if i pull hard, then 2nd gear if i pull then 3rd, 4th, a little in 5th then it was on all the time before i changed my pads and front rotors

haha hope you guys enjoyed the pics with as much shock as i was haha :D

You can upgrade to TRD brake pads now that your old ones are gone. Does anyone have them?

I've only got like 8k on my car (after upwards of a year) but it's probably 75% city driving, so I should probably take a look. Next time I'm under the car or next time I get the oil changed or something, I'll tell them to check it out.

Speaking of changing pads, what options do we have? I want something that's as quiet as stock, doesn't make much if any more dust and stops better - does anything exist? I'm willing to pay more for it and I'm willing to have it wear faster than stock (but if these are wearing out that fast, maybe I should be careful about that one). Suggestions?

anybody know if the Raybesto Ceramic Quietstops have a set of the tc yet? or are they the same as the celica ones? i have a set of these in my maxima and they work very well, much less dust and makes no noise.

The gts pads, rotors and calipers should be the same as the tC, I dunno about the brake lines or anything else though. They are probably the same
