Default tire gloss

right now i'm using meguiar's gold class gel on my tires. i like it because the more shine the better, and this has lots of shine. only thing is, after i put it on, the next time i drive it, i have to carry a rag around so i can wipe the excess off my car. i was wondering what you guys use, and how shiny it is, how well it holds up to water, how good it is about not slinging, etc. thanks.

Well, most of them - and I haven't tried the Gold Gel yet - will do that if you:
1) Use too much
2) Don't let it soak in and re-wipe.

Black Magic Tire Wet. Pretty much like tire gel! Awsome stuff! Stays on for about 1-2 weeks. Nice gloss

^^ Same here. I dont like them to look like hard plastic.. so I wipe on, let sit and then thoroughly wipe off. Leaves them a little glossy but not nasty looking. And it does last for quite some time

Meg's endurance and poorboy's boldnbright are both hardy tire gels that can deal with getting wet.

very well. i washed my car last wednesday, and today, tuesday, i washed it again at work, and sprayed all-purpose cleaner on the tires, then ran it through the wash with tire brushes, and it still had plenty of gloss on the tires.

I could, but I thought it might be much more fun asking everyone else on their expierence!! WDS, has many other projects that he needs to deal w/besides cleaning his tires.

I'm in Oregon.

I use Meguiar's Gold Class Endurance and it lasts pretty long in the rain.

Oh ya, all this rain sucks
