It doesn't matter where you fill up--because behind the scenes, all the companies swap fuel when they need to. So when you fill up at 76, you could well be getting a batch of Arco gas.

And if you think Arco is the watered down gas...I think someone (george?) mentioned here earlier that Arco was actually the last company to legally sell leaded gasoline...because all the other companies couldn't find a way to make it economically/safely/cost effective.

To me, it makes no difference where I get gas, as long as it's cheap.

I read an article in the paper back when gas prices were high as ____. It pretty much said that the reason Chevron and Shell have the higher prices is that they can only buy from one place. All the independent gas stations have the choice of buying from anyone, whoever is the lowest, which is why their prices are lower. So you could be getting watered down gas at Chevron and high quality ____ at Arco, it's all depends on what they bought. Sad thing is, you'll never know what you're REALLY getting. Just buy cheap and drive, unless you're running nitrous or higher compression, you won't need to use anything more than regular and you sure as hell won't experience detonation on it either.
