Toyota Motor Corp., Asia's largest automaker, said Tuesday it will recall about 646,000 vehicles starting today to fix the brakes in four models. The automaker will recall Yaris Verso, Scion xB, Celica and MR-S models built between July 22, 1999, and July 5, 2000.

doubt it...I wonder when they started even thinking about Scion...

 

That would have to be for the bB, not the xB. If in doubt, check your vin plate for date of maunfacture.

 

I bet they did. They've got this stuff mapped out and studied long before they risked a bunch of money. They tend to look at the long term more than we do in the USA.. IMO

Saw the concept for the bbX about 3 years ago on a toyota website. Got on the original Scion info list, and have known about it that long.

 

Although I can not find the old post that talked about this...because this is not the first time...I will lock this thread....

As stated above those recalls are for the Bb in Japan, not for the XB model here in the US. Also, like someone said, if you are worried that you have a "left over" you can always check ure VIN plate for the date of Manufacture...If anyone has objections with me locking this thread let me know!
