Default TSB repair work done

Being work has been slow, I decided to take my xB in for a few TSB work.

First one was for the fuel pipe opening. In my case, the Fuel tank and pipe opening were replaced along with other parts. Basiclly, the whole gas tank had to be replace. Cost of parts, $625.70

Second TSB work was for the A/C. Again, in my case, the whole A/C unit had to be replaced. Total cost of parts $1242.70

In all, total cost of the two TSB's were $1,868.40 and covered by factory warranty.

Right after leaving the dealer, I had to fill up with gas. OMG! What a differance. It's the first time in over a year I didn't have to put the gas pump on the first notch.

My A/C is so cold that I find myself wanting to turn on the heater.

I also found that my xB seems to run much faster/quicker. This just might be in my head?

Take advantage of your TSB's.

I took the car in at 7:00am and it was done by 5:00pm. I also had my oil changed and had them look at my rear bumper as it had came lose. No loaner was required or should I say I didn't request one. They just gave me a ride home and picked me up.

I'm going to get mine done when the weather warms up so I can do a comparision of AC function. No trick to getting it blowing cold when it's 60 degrees outside! My filler has always been marginal so that one will get done too. I suppose I was more tolerant of the filler since it would usually run full blast until the last couple of gallons. then you had to eaaasseeee them in.

Did you have the work done here in the SCV?

I think TSBs are forever,., it isnt a warentee issue.. however its also not a recall.. so they are not "required" to do the work.. just do them ASAP while its fresh

I posted info for a lot of TSB's a while back at:
"xA, xB, tC: Technical Service Bulletins"
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...776&highlight=

I thought I had found them all, but the fuel pipe opening I do not have.
Can you please post a link or E-amil me the PDF file?
Also, is there a TSB for the chipping, scratching paint?

Thanks!

What is the fuel TSB under and when you brought it in for this problem what did you say to explain the problem: did you just give them the TSB number or did you say you were having problems pumping gas?

all ya gotta do is bring it in and ask if your car is covered for the gas tank tsb , and if they ask just tell em it's hard to pump without clicking.

I just played dumb. I told them I had trouble putting gas in and told them I had heard of a TSB.

this has been discuss for months now. its about how some of us were having problem pumping gas with out the nozzel clicking even if the tank is not full, or even you just started to pump. some recommend changing the position how you put the nozzel. but some of us still gets difficulty pumping gas. Toyota realize it and issue TSB. then we go to dealer to see if our VIN qualifies and they order the parts and do the job.
