Default Two hours for "detailing."

I ended my "claying/waxing" question with this little epiphany. I really only have two hours to dedicate to my xB detailing this weekend (and probably for a few weeks at least). I use the Mr. Clean car wash system which actually works quite well--I can wash my car in under twenty minutes with that. It's by no means the greatest wash in the universe, but it's surprisingly good--especially since you don't have to dry.

Anyway, say I do wash the car in the morning and let 'er dry until the afternoon... How should I spend those two hours I've set aside for detailing? A quick polish and then a spray detail wax (like the Eagle stuff)? A wax like the NXT? Don't even bother because I don't have enough time?

If you had two hours to do some sort of detailling on your two month old, just washed xB, what would you do?

man that mr clean works if you have soft water. but if your house has hard water it's useless after two or three washes. and their soap and for me with hard water those filters get way expensive way cheap.

Two hours is really not enough time, but if that's all you have then I would wash/polish/wax. You could do that in two hours. There is no need to wait half a day for the car to dry. Just wash it, dry it and begin to polish.

Mr. Clean works great for me if I am in a hurry. If you have really hard water you have to change the filter more often. You could clean the wheel wells and engine compartment in that allotted time. Maybe shampoo the carpet and seats after a good vacuum job. There are always a bunch of areas you do not seem to get to very often..............

Lose that Mr Clean BS. Use Blue Corral car wash soap. It's gentle on the wax and is cheap. Get a water blade and use a pre dampened micro fiber towel. ONLY wash in the shade and never just let it dry on it's own. Can we say water spots from hell?
It takes me an hour to wash and wax/detail my box with Nano wax.
