Default Water in headlights

Hey I got a pair of dual halo's for my xB and never had a problem with them fogging up till now and it is starting to condensate on the inside. Is there away to get rid of that short of taking the headlight off because that was a huge pain in the @$$.

this is my biggest concern. I ordered projectors and I hope this doesn't happen. the one good thing is that since we are in Florida, and it doesn't rain very much , we shouldn't have the problem of fogging up.
I understand to drill a small hole on the bottom of the headlight to let the condensation drain out. I'm sure you will get tons of solutions. let us know what works.

I had that problem when i got mine on back in February and it usually happened after i washed my car or it was raining, but for some weird reason it hasn;t happened anymore. I did hear this was a big problem. See if you, or someone you know, can take off the headlight cover and re-seal it again. Good luck!

yeah there is a solution.....

twist the light out of the housing so you have a way of letting the moisture out. then take a blowdryer and hold it about 8" from the housing and wait. If your impatient, you can take a halogen spot lamp and set it infront of you headlamp- it will take care if your problem in about 20 mins.

My Focus did this frequently, so I became quite the expert about this....

I was thinking about trying the hair dryer but I wasn't sure if that would work. I will have to give that a try. But yea like I said it hasn't done this since I got them like 2-3 months ago. I will have to recheck the seals. I don't really want to drill a hole in it until I run out of options. Has anyone tried to drill the hole and have it work without letting water in from the bottom when you are driving in the rain?

if you drill a hole on the bottom also use a rubber hose so it'll fit in the hole that way you shouldn't worry about rain/puddles splashes getting back into your head light housing

Off subject indeed...you trying to mess up my thread?! LOL

I would agree take it back to the dealer tell them they installed it wrong and becuase of that moisture got in and made it moldy so you want them to clean and fix them. make sure they do it as warranty work and not bill you. Trust me they try it.

The drilling will be a last ditch effort. I am going to try the blow dryer thing tomorrow. If that clears it out and it fogs again I will reseal it and if it fogs again after that I will drill the hole. In the mean time anyone else that still has ideas or suggestions please post them. I will try everything short of a chant or dance
