Default WATERSPOTS ON PAINT!

Everytime I wash my car, I always end up with waterspots on the hood and the hatch area because of the pedistal spoiler. I always keep wetting the car so that waterspots don't come up, and I dry my car inside of my garage, but I still get waterspots. I've tried numerous waxes and the spots are still there. Would I just have to get the car buffed out to remove these spots??? Or what could I do???

Thanx!!!!

Clay will take them off. If you don't want to do all that work, I have had success with quick detailer.

Don't wash in the sun, and dry it as soon as you possibly can.

yes, you can usually get them there. Use a quick detailer spray or car wash shampoo + water as a lube. Wash the car afterwards, especially if you use car shampoo as a lube. And yea this does mean you may end up washing the car twice.

BTW, to prevent those annoying water spots that drip out from places like that, try using a leafblower if you have access to one to dry off the car after you're done washing it.

And yea, waxing well will help reduce waterspots (or lessen their severity and damage to your paint) but it can't eliminate them.

i use the "water blade". a flexible squeegee and compressed air. the water is what is leaving the spot, but good wax will lessen the lingering effect

I spend more time drying my car than washing it.

"The Absorber" towel works well. Available at Wal Mart,etc.. and microfiber towels also. I dry inside the door jambs, hatch, fuel door, hood, etc..so water doesn't seep out later and stain the finish.

I live in a small community with a mom & pop water company. The water here is full of calcium, and if you don't dry it immediately, the spots will not come off.

meguiars cost $18 for the clay kit it comes with 2 clay bars, 1 detailer spray, 1 cleaner wax, and a terry cloth. works good. i tried washing my car at work to save money but it also left too many water spots. i just go wash it myself at the car wash but dont use thier brush they can scrath the paint from being dirty (people scrubbing mud)
