you only really need to wax it about every 5-6 months, but if you do it more make sure to use a dish soap (ie dawn) to remove the other wax so you don't get a build up.

from autopia.org, 60% of wax will be gone after 30days, 75% will be gone after 60days, they suggest to wax every 3 months.

if you take it to strong washes then it strips it off, should you wax it after you did that?

Good question,
I do paint detailing on the side, I tell poeple to wax there cars once every 3 months and use a detail spray for dusting and daily cleaning with Micro fiber towels, you can find those at walmart.
Use Mothers detail spray!
when removing the wax spary a little detail spray on the micro fiber cloths, it will help take the wax off.
Regular towels and cotton towels will leave swirl marks. (light scratching in the clear coat) I also recomend getting a orbital buffer you can find at hardware store to use when waxing.
DO NOT USE DISH SOAP, it will strip off all your wax. use a car wash soap , Mothers or anything you find at Kregans.
if you have leather seats use a conditoner at least 2 to 3 times a month. Look for ones that have a SPR raiting to protect the leather from the sun.

Hope this helps.
