i have a xb and i notice that the dash and the door pannels are made of that material that you can see every little mark... what do you guys/girls use to clean it with? do you use a micro-fiber towel as well??

Stay away from Armor All.

 

Id be careful. Some of that stuff could dry up ur dash.

 

yes.. that is exactly why i havent touched it yet.. i know that the armorall stuff will dry the heck out of it. i wanted to know what wont hurt it

 

Silicone is what you want to stay away from. Look for stuff that clearly states it has none in it. The product I showed in the second post is silicone-free.

Mostly just a damp terrycloth for the dash and door panels. Install the cabin air filter to help reduce the amount of dust that need to be removed.

ill tell ya right now the paint brush method only works if you havent vaccumed the floor yet...

but.....

it does get all the dust out of the little places you cant get your fingers

 

I've been using ArmorAll on various car interiors for 20 years, and never had anything "dry out" even on cars I kept for 10 years afterwards.

 

The thing is that if you continue to use ArmorAll, you will not dry it out. It's when you STOP using the product for an extended period of time that it dries out.

 

I dont know if ArmorAll will harm the dash, but it looks like crap. ArmorAll looks good on the smooth surfaces such as the doors or the inner rear wheel wells. Now I just use a moist microfiber sponge to clean my whole interior.

ArmorAll works well with vinyl not ABS.

 

i just use a damp microfiber cloth. unless i want it shiny, i'll take some Megauir Wipes to it,makes it smell good too, :D

 

you can also use tire wet it works great onthe dash apply with an sponge..
