A rock hit me the other day and put a small crack on my windshield. Now the crack is 4 times as big. Anyone know how much a windshield will cost me on the tc installed? I'm assuming warranty doesn't cover windshields cracked by rocks

 

ive heard 700 for oem toyota logo glass, or 500 for manufactured glass (i got a rock double bullseye on my glass) xb

Check with your insurance. South Carolina law states that insurance companies have to cover windshields because it's a safety issue and they aren't supposed to alter your rates for using it. It may be the same where you are.

 

if u have AAA they should come down and replace it for you for free!

that's news to me...

My insurance will cover the cost of repair waiving deductable... replacement however.. I have to pay an extra 34$ a year to insure the glass with comprehensive (0 deductable).

 

oh yeah, when you get a crack you should put some scotch tape on it ASAP... it might not keep it from spreading but... it'll keep dirt and stuff out which helps with the repair...
get it repaired asap too
