XB 5Speed Reverse Gear Problem...
Try letting the clutch out a tiny bit and letting the shifter fall into reverse and then push clutch in and then back up. The trans is trying to spin the outputs in the opposite direction and sometimes it needs to be just slightly turning. Its my experience that this is normal with all the sticks that I've ever driven. Hope this helps it just takes a little feel and touch. See Ya, Louie
Make sure the car is not in any forward motion before shifting into reverse...
And one other thing I noticed, when shifting into reverse at a complete stop, take the shifter to the far right, in between 5th and R, and then pull it into Reverse, don't ease it back into reverse. I noticed it grinds during these few occasions...
Don't worry....lol...you drive in the forward gears 99% of the time anyway, right?

hope this helps..
