I suspect that they write-off plates that are "lost, stolen, destroyed, or moved out of state."

It appears you already have TX ....damn, wish I had seen this sooner, I just threw away my hubbys old MT license plate with the trash on Monday.

I actually found some Maryland tags from 1986, If you want them I'll bring them along with me.

Here is what they look like:



they are 100% legit, back in the day maryland let you keep your tags

Seriously though Darren .. i would hate to see you get busted in the air port for transporting something that may be considered state property. The ones you get, you may want to FedEx or UPS back to your house. Just lookin out.

scionlarry - just need one, not both, but if you want to get rid of both I will take them.

JoMac - just the 50 states is all I have room for, thanks for the DC offer, though!

CBSIMONSEZ - The airport doesn't care if I have license plates, nor could they determine if they were legitimately mine or not with the resources they have. How many people go through every day that are actually carrying stolen items? That isn't what airport security is there for. Now, if I threaten to hijack a plane with a license plate I will probably have a problem.

If trailer plates are the same size as normal plates then I don't care. If I remember right, they are identical to normal plates but they just say trailer on them, right?

some states are smaller, if you want them the same size as car plates ill see what i can drum up, and yea they are the same they just say trailer
