343 Of FDNY's bravest....

...the you include NYPD...

...the EMTs...

...the innocent people who still suffer from the chemicals and the dust.

If you know a Firefighter, Police Officer, EMT...give them a hug or shake their hand. Because everyday could the last alarm they respond to...

Food for thought from a Firefighter who's seen it, been through it, and to this day...wouldn't trade it away for anything in the world.

I've had the honor of working with someone who was a first responder. He went the first 48 hours with two hours of sleep, then was ordered to take the rest of the day off. He went home, showered and was back on the job about 6 hours later for another 36 hours.

I will never forget that person or where I was that day. Hopefully, today everyone one will remember why we are in Iraq and other countries. I hope everyone takes the time to have a moment of silence to remember that terrible day.

My brother, his girlfriend, and I flew out to NC on 9/11. Just seems like something that shouldn't be done (no I wasn't scared something would happen). It's just a respect thing.

We flew back on 9/13 and when we got through the baggage scans and such in the Raleigh/Durham airport, we saw a flag with all the names of those who passed away on it. We stopped for a moment to take a look and remember.
