As I said, I do think we are ready for a woman president. But it has to be the right one. The one thing that stands out in my mind as a disqualifier would be if she's still young enough to get her period. Nobody with PMS should have access to nukes!
look not all women go postal when their on their period.. Stereotypical?
Stereotypes for the most part come from an ounce of truth, hell my fiance goes postal everytime.
LOL

My wife would tell you the same thing. Maybe all women don't experience that, but many do. I'm not saying she grabs my 9mm and starts blasting away, but her emotions are all out of whack for a day or two. She even knows enough to avoid making any big decisions during that time. My statement was mostly meant to be humorous, but there is some truth to it. A post-menopausal woman is going to be much more stable. Just watch out for the hot flashes!

I'd like to see a strong woman leader bust some of the ***** in the gov't. There's too many pompas old bastards that won't budge from their positions or open their minds. We need to clear out some of the cob webs and start focusing on and actually enforcing the foundation of our bloody governmental system, The Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Sadly you're right. I'm just really f@ckin' sick of all the corruption in our gov't. I wish there was a way to weed these f@ckers out and get people in positions that weren't a bunch of scumbag opportunists.

It's one of human's greatest flaws we're easily corrupted haven't you seen Lord Of The Rings???

But seriously we would have so many advances like alternative fuels if it weren't for rich a$$ companies paying our gov't off.

I agree with you guys. I enjoy following politics to the degree that I actually read Senate legislation and see how my representatives vote on the issues, I also call they're offices to ask questions about bills. Until the special interest is removed from D.C. the system will always be corrupted in some way. To stay to the topic, I think our country would accept a woman President.

It doesn't matter what sex the next President will be. What matters is they will use their power for personal gain just like the rest of them.

main problem with a woman overall, is other countries, especially muslim and asian, don't hardly respect women. If you put out a representative that a country's leader doesn't respect, then that's a bad image for america. It's been said jfk's wimpy handshake caused the cuban missile crisis, so other country's views of us and our leaders, do make quite an impact on foreign relations.

but...this is hillary clinton, So I'm sure Bill Clinton will get paid gobs of money by our govt. to pull a jesse jackson, and HOPEFULLY do most of the foreign policy meetings/negotiations, while she's in office.

Hm, so when your girlfriend or women have their periods and goes "postal", they're so out of it that they can't do things like work? Did your wife have to call into work for a few days each month? Did you have to remove your wife from the family and protect your children from her rage?

I've heard of some women getting PMS but to the extent where one wouldn't be able to perform her job duties or not be able to make big decisions is rare. Very rare. I mean, think of all the women that work in big corporations, lawyers and such. I don't hear of them making bad decisions or being postal, unless, of course, there's a disgruntled male who just got reprimanded by a female and the PMS card is the "clever" thing he comes up with. I mean, often you hear a guy claim a woman must have PMS because a female is upset, more often if the female is upset with him.

I just don't buy the PMS thing. And even if someone did, I'm pretty sure Hillary has had the change of life already. But why don't we go stick her on some white cloth for 2 months and verify... just in case.

I don't think it is "sexist" to want a president who is past that stage of life. What happens if she gets pregnant? Is it "sexist" to not want a president who might have to take maternity leave?

That won't be likely since they'd be too old when they get into office and they'd be a man by then.

Like how? Pant suits? The manor of which they speak, not as in the pitch of their voice? I wouldn't say those things are man like, they're just part of the job that needs to be done. And as far as the clothing, it's not very appropriate to show up to work in a frilly dress, lol.

And might I just add, before anyone types it out, I clearly must be having a fit of postal PMS as clearly shown in this and especially my previous post.

You might have to be a woman to understand how tiring it is to be told that your completely legitimate feelings of anger towards a male is due to PMS. To hear, constantly throughout your life, that this or that woman surely is PMSing, is just so freaking annoying. Oh, but men can act the same way and it's legit because they don't bleed between the legs?

ooo. this is gonna get good. I will say having a post-menapausal women, is something i do feel safer with as leader or even a boss(don't you?). With a man or most post-menapausal women, you know where you stand in their eyes, and you know what the logical choice that should be made.

You do have to admit, women make decisions on their emotions most of the time(i was thinking about not saying "most", but after thinking about it, nope). If you ask a women what choice of something she'd like, if she's in normal state of mind, it'll be one thing, but in a pms or emotional state, it'll be another. I'm not saying men don't have emotions, but i'm saying that the majority don't let emotional status alter their logical decisions. Yes, a few men do run wild with their emotions as most women do, but they are not leaders nor successful men, because most other men look down upon them if they do so.

Think a guy can cry or scream at work and not be thought of as unstable from that point on? no way. But if it's a woman, "she's just going through a stressful time" and in a day or 2, most people's perception about her has changed little if at all. I work with lots of professional women, and even when you think you know them and conversate with them, backstabbing and the likes ensue for everyone in her way. The only guys you have to watch out for, are the ones that don't say hardly a word to you at work, and remain reclusive.

I don't get why there are actually girls on this thread denying that girls are more prone to "emotional" behavoir during menstruation. It is a proven fact.
