^^ I think maybe he means 'unlocking' to use with a different phone company? If that's the case, you can't. AT&T has it exclusively until 2K9.

^^yea, but are all the apps there? I've seen unlocked phones, and they all lose most of the functionality once they've been hacked.

And why would you use it with t-mobile of all services? Cingular/AT&T is the parent company of t-mobile. not like your accessing a different network or anything...

^^I'm sorry, t-mobile and cingular(AT&T) have agreements to share eachothers networks. Often when in roaming.

And what network does t-mobile use for internet here in the states?

They share the EDGE network with cingular/AT&T.
