Seriously, guys, say no to Zima and their suddenly popular counterparts. Drink real beer like a real man.

Bud/Miller/Coors.....I wouldnt use them clean dog sh*t off the bottom of my shoe, let alone actually ingest them.
The Westvleteren 12 is, as of now, my favorite commercial beer in the world. Some other top contenders, listed by style:
Abby Ales
Rochefort 8
Westmalle Triple
Leffe Blonde
Urthel Hibernus Quentum Tripel
Lambics
Cantillon Rose de
Gueuze Vigneronne
Timmermans Lambic Doux
Sours Rodenbach Grand Cru
Oud Zottegems
Vichtenaar
Ichtegem's Old Brown
Odd Beers
Stille Nacht
Bush (No, this has NOTHING to do with Anheuser/Bush or budweiser)
Oerbier
Gulden Draak
La Chouffe
Delirium Tremens
Im not a big fan of Domestics....the few that come to mind are Pliny the Elder, Pliny the Younger and Anchor Steams Steam Beer.

Went on holiday to Belgium and The Netherlands late in '06 and brought back a few 12's with me.
Nice! A friend of mine met a guy at bevmo that has a friend in belgium to mails them to him (doesn't sell em, as the monks don't like that) so it's ethical and legal, I MIGHT get to try one....man, I love me some chimay and rochefort, but i HAVE to try the Westvleteren 12! lol, something about the best beer in the WORLD just makes me wanna have it!!

Pours cloudy and is dark brown and kinda purple (!) in appearance. Head is light tan and stays with the beer through the end (nice Brussels lacing on the glass). Aroma is fruity (raisins and apricot) and sweet (toffee or caramel?) and hot (alcohol). Like I said, the flavor is hard to comprehend - complex does not begin to describe it….spicy molasses and honey fights for dominance over the malty caramel flavors. Aftertaste is a bit….bread-y/doughy with some spice….nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice and anise are all noticeable.
If you EVER have the chance, give it a shot. But a small warning - if it pours flat and/or has a weak head, it has most likely not been stored properly. Still with trying though.
Check the link I posted if you are interested in my Belgian beer stories - I tried some Chimay from '73, '83 and '93, bars with beer menus the size of phone books…..an awesome country!

Do me a favor Dispatcher, try some Bavarian Hef from Trader Joes with a slice or orange, or even some Chimay Blue (a bit more pricey), you'll never see hiney the same way again :-D
