Topless Parade Approved
Updated: 10:57, Monday August 21, 2006
Topless **** stars on motorbikes will parade down the main street of New Zealand's biggest city, it has been confirmed.
The event called "***** on Bikes" has been given the green light by Auckland City Council, despite concerns from some councillors.
They had been worried that granting a permit for the parade would look like the council was backing it.
***** on Bikes is part of Erotica Expo, organised by entrepreneur Steve Crow.

It will see at least 30 pornography actresses, clad in leather, proceed down the city's Queen Street on Wednesday this week.
Police have said they do not regard the event as indecent.
Inspector Rob Abbott has been quoted in The New Zealand Herald as saying: "In the opinion of the police, given the standards of decency observed in this day and age, a female being topless in a parade on a weekday in Queen St will not in itself constitute an indecent act."
But he warned that police will be closely watching the parade to make sure the participants' behaviour is entirely legal.
