The threshold of pain for most humans, even with bad hearing, is 130 decibels. After that, the noise is intolerable. Also, the hearing loss is immediate and permanent. 150dB causes permanent, irreversible damage to the ear, and 180 decibels is 1000 times the power.

It couldn't be done with humans around without making them all deaf. So i seriously doubt it.

163 dB is the point at which glass breaks. Eardrums rupture at 190 db. 200 dB can cause death to humans and is generated at the exploding point of a bomb.

If this was done, it wasn't ever tested or competed in the presence of actual humans, so what the he!! was the point??
see guys thats the problem with females. and they say we dont read. sweetie there is a link on the top of the page. this guy has been hitting 176 - 179 at damn near ever compiticion. for cryin out loud he did it at the IASCA competition.

In IASCA competition, the owners of the vehicle are not allowed to sit in their vehicles for obvious safety concerns. As far as glass breaking, not an issue. These guys have 1.5" thick plexiglass for windows. And for the most part, most of these vehicles are nothing more than "trailer queens" and are not driven on the street.

It doesn't say what type, size, or how many subs it took.. that kinda sucks....

Why even take the time to write the article if you aren't going to include the most important things?
