I was trying to burn 4gb worth of data onto a 16x Sony DVD+R using nero and it took 1.45hrs. That's just ridiculous. What could be wrong? This isn't the first time it's taken really long but the first time its taken almost 2hrs.

 

you sure your not burning at 1x? maybe it froze and made a coaster?

 

yeah, you're burning slow, probably 1x or 2x

 

Yeah trying burning movies DVDs that takes about 50 min to rip then another 25 min to burn...but then again I never done such an illegal act.

 

No, it says I'm burning at 16x... Could it be the program itself? What are some other programs worth trying besides Nero?

nero works great..fastest program ive used so far, i usually burn 20-30 mins each disc, sometimes you wouldn't want too fast b/c when i burn a disc at around 10 - 15 mins the disc has really bad quality.
i dont know whats up with yours though, i dont think its nero maybe its your hardware?

 

what version of nero does everyone use for burning dvds? just wondering cuz ive heard different things about different versions.
