How many of you say ( when someone blows past you on the highway ), "I hope I see him get busted up ahead."

Only twice have I had that pleasure.

Of course sometimes it's not quite the way I would like to see it.

A week ago I was on my way back to Atlanta from Orlando for work ( I drive a truck ), when a tractor-trailer goes flying by me. He was weaving in and out of traffic. I was just south of Macon, GA where it is 3 lanes on I-75. I thought to myself, I hope he gets pulled over. By the way he was on his cell.

About 5 miles ahead he was pulled over, but that was only because there were 2 cars missing their entire front end and a pickup truck with it's bed and tailgate barely hanging on. The tractor-trailer was missing his entire hood.

If only he had been pulled over by the 2 state troopers that passed me a few minutes before he did, a crisis could have been averted.

Also anyone have any stories, I'd love to hear them.

 

quite a few times. i KNOW where all the cops will pop you on I5(driving with no insurance and in the car pool lane illegally for a number of years, you'd better).

but recently, near my house, there is a road leading out to the highway thro the neighborhoods. at the very end near the on-ramp there is a cop once a week. well, me driving AT speed limit in the mornings ____es people off, so alot of times, people will pass me on on the shoulder at 40+mph in a 25mph and give me a dirty look.

how beautiful it is to see them do this, and i'm looking at a cop way in the distance watching the whole thing. that ticket must be wicked, speeding, illegal passing, hard to say what else.

 

A couple of times, I've also looked in my mirror and seen a cop with his lights on coming up behind me quickly. My heart drops, stomach up into throat and just as he gets to me he passes me and takes the guy in front of me.

This is a knock-on-wood moment.

 

There was this one time when a raging SUV beat a red light like 10mph over the speed limit and didn't really make it but still crossed the intersection and there was a cop car at the cross street and didn't even try to put up his sirens and catch him. I was like... "Haha!! Busted!! Wait a sec.. What the deuce?!?! That was so obvious... Dang CA popos!!!" They only catch people with "modded" cars but not on the lookout for people who actually violate traffic laws.

 

^^ I hate that! That irritates the crap out of me.

 

cops around here are just stupid. i was driving down the road, glance in my RVM and there is a cop with his lights on, i nearly ____ed myself i just got the car and i was going no more than 2 over! but then on went his sirens and he went past at like 95.... whew! a hole cops! i did see a guy i was gonna race at a light get pulled over when he drove away. i stopped and slowed, he didnt, he got pulled over a few intersections later! woot pays to lose!

 

Every now and then I will see someone who really needs it get stopped, but not often enough.

Sometimes, when conditions are just right, I'll set someone up when I happen to know a stretch is being actively watched - things like getting out of the way of some idiot tailgater just in time for him to accelerate to 20 over the limit right into a radar gun... :D

^ I did that once with a friend of mine...
He wanted to race me... I was driving my dad's Impala and he was in his 91 Saturn, so there wasn't any contest, but I humored him.

When the light changed, we both floored it. Needless to say, I was gone. When I felt that I had proven my point, I dropped below the speed limit and he continued. About 100 feet after I slowed down, a cop pulled out of a driveway and tagged him. It was pretty hilarious. He showed up at my house 45 minutes later with a ticket for $125.

He hasn't wanted to race me anymore.

I don’t know if it’s illegal, but it should be. I’m talking about when you’re stuck in bumper to bumper traffic on the interstate, and some jerkoff behind you decides to merge into an exit lane, drive past a couple dozen cars, then cut back into traffic. Just once I’d like to see a cop bust somebody for this.

 

HAHAHA. That guy got BUSTED!!


And they do this in Tacoma by the Cheney Stadium all the time. Irritates me.
