Default Car broken in to

So my car ford (luckley not my future xb) got broken in to and about couple thousands of dollars of items were stolen. I am taking donations to help me out. My business can not operate with this situation. Computers hd's gone money gone cd's gone. Window broken and products for the office are gone. Any help will do. Luckly my sound system was not in there as that alone is close to 5k. I took that out of my previous xb and was going to put it in the 08 xb.

File an insurance claim and a police report.

if you have a cloth top wrangler.... the best advice is to leav it unlocked. leave nothing of value in there and leave the doors unlocked. that way nobody slices your top to get in. you can lock the trunk, but the tops are pretty pricey to replace. and i would reccommend a HU that either pulls out, or has a removable face if you are going with aftermaket there. the stock HU isn't the best, i know.

Cant hurt to ask lol. But on another note I can't afford theft insurence for my car. I am already paying 300 bucks a month for basic insurence.

some rocket scientist that broke into my buddys jeep smashed the window when his doors were unlocked. he lives by the same rule you just said. anyways, the person who broke into my car must have been some crackhead looking for something to pawn. it happened downtown where the clubs are at.. surrounding areas are slums

im pretty speechless about this thread....you want donations because of your own stupidity...there's a lot of ways to come up with an extra few bucks a month whether its driving a bit slower, not buying a candy bar every now and then, turning off all the lights in your house the second you leave the room, or selling stuff you dont need. think about having an emergency bank account with some funds in it....at least 500 bucks.....that you can pull out whenever you run into a bad situation, whether its related to your car or your health or whatever it is. and from now on make sure to get full coverage on your car....hope a lesson's learned...

what is funny is that would be the smart thing, but most people in the united states have no idea what saving money is. at the minimum i think it is recommended to be able to live for 2-3 months if you were out of a job.

I work in the insurance industry, and it is a crying shame how many people are underinsured. People are always just trying to save a buck, calling Geico, and thinking insurance is just something you have to pay. It is there for your benefit and protection. I carry million dollar limits on my auto policy and will always have theft provisions. It's a good idea too to report all the mods and money you've put into your car.
