Cheap, quick, easy upgrades.
I dont know if there is a thread similar to this or not, I searched got nothing. Basically what I'm looking for is people to post small upgrades they done that have been cheap and easy. Before you start _____en at me about how no upgrades should be cheap and easy, just reframe yourself cuz i could care less. Anyway, pics would nice also, and the time it took and cost. ie. eyelids, interior painting, overylays..etc. Just seeing if anyone can't spark some new ideas in my dome. Post any thing even if you think its stupid.
Easy ones to get started:
- Eyelids.
- Brass shifter cable bushings.
- Brass shifter cage bushings (usually come with a short shifter)
The 2nd and 3rd options are really nice if you also have a short shifter installed... they firm up shifting... or take out the rebound from it I guess. Not sure how to explain it. Basically you're replacing rubber with brass. So something sort of squishy with something solid.

BTW... the bushings can be bought from either doctorisotope.com or speed-source.net. Though dr isotope's are made from delrin and speed-source's are made of brass... so I don't know if there are really any advantages either way.
I have the cage bushings that came with my short shifter and speed-source's cable bushings. But I put mine in before dr isotope started offering them. So either will probably be fine.

TRD is OK if you like the **** that comes with it (which is nice) - or like the ability to swap the entire cage. But IMO, there are plenty of other options out there that will give you a shorter throw and just as nice of a feel for less $.
been thinking about doing this since i can't afford new rims yet
