Default COMPUTER NIGHTMARE..please help

Im actually the computer guy here, but this is beyond me..(little outdated)

Last saturday, or computer system took a ____ (our inventory, customer info, purchase orders, receipts).. basically everything we to sell our parts and keep track of them..

the system we are running is Unix based, Sun Microsystems or something.. we pin-pointed it to the drive.. which happens to be a SCSI ..anyone either know of a good Point of Sale program that is user friendly.. or where i can replace this drive..

its IBM Ultrastar, 36GB, SCSI p/n 07N6340..

Any information would helpful (other then tellin me to get with the times.. i told my boss this already)

Well i guess i will cancel my quest ...lol. Newer technology is always better. Old SCSI drives are known to fail. Good luck on starting over...it always sucks.

thanks.. cant wait, will be fun inventoring everything again.. considering we stock most parts so we dont have to order them..

sad thing is, i spent alot of time researching how to get this unix system to communicate with windows.. and i actually figured it out.. now we get to scrap it all that together..
