the atom is awesome...and i think the atom is street legal, its got bumbers, indicator lights, tags, and the wheels are not exsposed

technically the veyron is a production car even though its made by order, like higher end bentlys, i have nooo idea what the requirments are to be a "production car" are but everything i read says it is

Not just the doors are impressive, I like how the entire car comes open. hood, trunk and doors.

we should send bugatti a get well card that car is so sick

anybody herd that bugatti actually looses money everytime they sell one, apparently thay made the veyron to re-establish there name as a world laeader in car manufactoring, sure there will be other cars faster one day, but the money put into every detail of this car might not be recreated for quite some time...i mean even the the two arms behind the steering wheel for the turn signals n wipers in crap cost 10K each!

apparently bugatti will be coming out with cheaper exotics in the near future to start making a profit, and hopefully start paying back VW for bailing them out of bankruptcy

The airbrake is on in that picture of the veyron, lol.

Yeah, in an MT i had read, they couldn't say veyron without saying 'a car that will never make money' right after it.

Some site I read put an E60 M5 against a CCR. Why? I don't know.

i think it would be more fun on a street, all that open room can make you loose the perception of how fast you are really goin

That's a turbo per cylinder in our tCs. That puts it in perspective. I like the sound of that

Your BS sensor should be beeping at that figure. Assuming constant acceleration, (which would be very difficult to achieve) the car would have to accelerate at over 1.3 G. In the real world, it would have to launch at something like 2 G, something that top fuel dragsters can do, but not streetable cars.

IIRC, the Atom has the record for 0-100-0. Since there are various standards for "fastest", several cars can claim the title.

I really don't see how they can get a streetable Atom in the US, since the US mandates air bags on all new cars. Perhaps as a kit car?

The Lingenfelter that he is talking about was a 2003 Z06 with a twin turbo LS1 that pumped out 802 bhp. Indeed, the 0-60 time was 1.97 seconds. I totally understand how unbelievable that sounds though.

I actually got to see that Vette at Carlisle last year. They had an awesome memorial for John Lingenfelter too.
