The Pagani Zonda is not as powerful at the Lingenfelter. It's V-12 only produces between 500-600? HP whereas the Vette's LS1 produces much more. However; both cars are capable of 200+ MPH. Nonetheless, the Zonda is an amazing piece of art.

Are you serious? It doesnt make any sense. Usually you get low mpg on low gears. It's all about RPM So I think it is most economical at highest gear .

That's what a Motortrend issue said. If you're in seventh gear chances are you're throttle is wide open, so gas mileage won't be so great.

If you believe that any street car (which includes street tires) can do a sub-2-second 0-60MPH, then I have some prime bottomland in Louisiana that you might want to buy.

Now, put an ultra-sticky set of race slicks on the car and 2 seconds _might_ be possible, but those tires wouldn't last 10 miles on the street.

However, if we're going to allow non-street-legal parts, then this becomes the fastest car in the world:

0-330MPH in 4.5 seconds!

Engine
12.9 Litre V8

Weight
approximately 2178 lbs

Aspiration
normal

Torque
1298 lb ft @ 5,600 rpm

HP
1,100 hp at 7,000 rpm

HP/Weight
1.98 lb per hp

HP/Liter
85.27 hp per litre

0-124 mph
4.9 sec

0-186 mph
10 sec

0-186 mph in 10 seconds? The Veyron can "only" do it in 16.7 seconds.

* 0-186mph is 0-300km/h incase you were wondering.

I have a feeling that the maintainance requirements for the other "supercars" that are being discussed here are also more frequent than your typical Toyota.
