Default which democrat do you think will be president?

hillary or obama?

I personally think it's too obvious a republican isn't going to win. As lucky as guiliani was to have 9/11 happen and boast his career from adulterer mob-helper to disaster clean-up supervisor, i think mccain being the most liberal(something repubs should know is going to win this time) & popular republican out there running, he'll get the rep. nom.

My bet is hillary vs. mccain, 55%-45%
i just hope nader doesn't run and screw it up, again.
50%-45%-5% if nader does.

While people argue "I don't think a america is ready for a woman president"
or "I don't think a america is ready for a black president"

I think in the coming months, it'll get nasty and everyone's eyes will see it as:
Bill Clinton(part 2) vs. Guy who's name rythms with Bin Laden

I think any republican, minus Jesus himself, isn't going to win the presidentency this time, and %-wise, i bet fewer republicans even turn out to vote because:
McCain = Republican
Republican = Prolonging the War

Point of fact: Obama isn't Muslim.

McCain is just the Pro-War dem.

No way Hillary gets it. She's the antichrist in too many people's minds. And if by some crazy stretch of the imagination, she better have a VP that nobody wants to be running things.

Guilianni is a republican, and is extremely pro-war.

And I can't possibly see Gore getting it.

My bad, just sucks to be born with a muslim name. Hillary's got more of the black vote than Obama though, I can't imagine how he'd get elected.

All you gotta do is listen to the guy. He's the leader that we've been missing for 25+ years in that office.

Hilary is just too polarizing and I don't think it'd be good for the country. She's like the anti Gee Dub, and I don't think that's what we need now.

Barack Osama has no chance, and when Hillary is your best shot, well. . . Ill be placing my bets on McCain for 2008. The Democrats chew each other up in the primaries because traditionally their primary is typically much more competitive and when it shakes out in the general, with the only wild car being the war in Iraq, the Republicans, short some massive scandal should be able to hold the big house by 2-3%. But my guess is as good as the next guys, I would have never thought that 2006 would have turned out the way it did and the monkey on the back of the Republicans (the war) has proved to be much more important than I thought.

I see Gore announcing Pres. not too soon but, you will get a strong impression of him getting pushed in by supporters because of his stand on the war and the academy award doesn't hurt. I am sure he knows he is going to enter the race right now.

Bill Clinton will support him when he nails it, in spite of his wife losing it because of her stand on the war.

He will get it and the win the election.

I am almost always wrong with this kinda stuff, though.

Barack Osama has no chance
That's what I use to think, but the more I see, the more it looks not only possible, but likely. I'll never forget what Jon Stewart said right after the 04 elections when news first surfaced that Hillary looks to be the candidate the Dems were going to push forward: "Well, it's good to know my party is wasting no time in losing the 08 elections."

How things have changed in just a couple of years.

I have and I think he does talk-the-talk of a good canidate, it's because he's the new-comer that he has to. Peraonlly I'm tired of burearcy, and I want a straight talker who doesn't b.s., so personally I want Joseph Biden. Ever since I listened to the Robert's Supreme Court hearings, that is the kind of leader I want running the show. Someone who doesn't take b.s. answers and run with them.

If Biden had been in Bush's shoes when "someone" came to him and said Iraq has wmd's, this is probably what would of happend:
Biden woulda said, "ok who'd you hear it from?"
"Um, an informant"
"Who, again? the answer of 'an informant equals squat, i hear that **** everyday'"
"a Trusted informant"
"quit wasting my time. Next!"

If you listened to the media during the last election, you wouldn't have thought anyone in the country was going to vote for Bush. It sounded like Kerry was going to win by a landslide. Bush won the popular vote by a few million. My point: Nothing is obvious about politics.

I'd really like to see Obama win it, but I think it's a little too soon to really tell.

I listen to npr daily, for like 2-3 hours a day. you don't get much more democratic mdeia than that. I remember how everyone kept saying "Kerry is a bore, looks like frankenstein". Sure he was favored to win, and for the second time in a row, Nader lost that election for the democrats. It wasn't Bush. It was Nader. Just like it was Perot for Bush Sr.

Not that I think America isn't ready for a woman president. I just don't think America is ready for Hillary as president... Although she does have the shoulders for it.

Truthfully though, I think Obama should get the presidency with Hillary as VP since she already knows the lay of the land from Bill and would be a good reference point for Obama.

Personally I'm independent with a strong libertarian leaning. Sadly they still don't have a strong enough following to win the presidency yet. I'll be voting for libertarians in every other office though. I want my constitution back!!

I don't think it's even worth having an independant as president until you have atleast a majority in the house or senate. I mean if your independant president can't pass a bill or change a law because it will be struck down by congress, what good is he?

But "independant" is just that, most all independant's aren't for the green party. as stupid as it sounds, independants need to unite(although, they'd not be independant anymore).

Personally, "deep down" i feel like an independant, as I'm crazy conservative some ways (immigration, welfare) but in most ways liberal (healthcare, anti-religion, pro pot), but i wont be voting that way for at least 20 years.
You have to pick the lesser of 2 evils, because if you choose a little "good" that won't get elected, the most evil one will. Most people don't like to accept this as fact. But that's exactly why Bush won twice, because independants who would vote democrat if Nader hadn't been around wasted their votes on a losing canidate(and they knew they would lose)

a good example was featured on the simpsons a while back
Homer: America, take a good look at your beloved candidates. They're nothing but hideous space reptiles. [unmasks them, it's Kang and Kodos]
Kodos: It's true, we are aliens. But what are you going to do about it? It's a two-party system; you have to vote for one of us.
Man1: He's right, this is a two-party system.
Man2: Well, I believe I'll vote for a third-party candidate.
Kang: Go ahead, throw your vote away. [Kang and Kodos laugh out loud]

By independent I mean I don't back any one political party on all issues... I back about 90-95% of what libertarians are for, but not all.

I will be casting my vote for whoever has the best environmental policy. We are the 'current' superpower. We could have the best public school program, the smartest individuals, the cleanest cars, the cleanest air.
America is stuck in the stone age in so many respects it is shocking. It is due largely in part that our gov. is corrupt and have $$$ relationships with the wrong corporations and businesses.

I'd like a president that is smarter than I and someone I can trust. I think Obama will win the Dem. nomination, but I must say I dislike that he's all about the jesus.

Just my 2c

I'm not a fan of the Jesus either... But he seems like one of the least corrupt politicians I've seen in quite some time. I didn't say not corrupt and I did say seems but it feels like a good sign...
