Has anyone collected DIMINISHED RESALE VALUE reimbursement from insurance before in CA?

 

i've heard that it is done quite often lately, especially with things like car fax. but to be honest, most collision reports don't make it to car fax.

my car has been to the body shop twice, but car fax doesn't seem to know jack about it.

anyway, it depends on the damage, and how bad it is, and if you replace a part that has a VIN sticker on it to signify that that is the original part that came from the factory.

you can pursue it if you want, but since nobody but you, the other guy, the claims adjustor and the body shop will know about it, word probably won't get around to the dealership or person you sell your car to.
